Replace your RAM with a higher capacity, replace your hard drive with a SSD, or maybe even just clean out the CPU cooling fan... Just follow the video! I bought this netbook for my mom recently, and when I looked it up online searching for how to get at the hard drive and memory, I literally couldn't find anything pertaining to this specific model of computer... Or anything remotely similar to it even! So of course I had to tinker around with it! I figured it out after a while, and thankfully did not break anything in the process. If anyone decides to try higher RAM capacities than 2GB, please let me know the results, as Gateway Online says this computer will only support 2GB, but I do not personally believe that. Sadly, I don't have any DDR3 RAM to test that theory with. The RAM is DDR3, CPU-Z labeled it as PC3-10700 (667Mhz), so another thing I'd like to know is the maximum supported RAM speed (which isn't mentioned ANYWHERE). ***CONFIRMED!!!*** This netbook DOES support a single 4GB DDR3 RAM stick, however Windows 7 Starter still only shows 2GB *usable* memory. The netbook in this video now has a working PNY 4GB PC3-10666 stick in it :) The hard drive is advertised on the unit itself and online at Bestbuy.com as being only 250GB, when in reality it is a 320GB. Has the industry changed standards to only advertise REMAINING hard drive space to make way for their bloatware without causing an ...
